We guarantee that our products are of a consistently higher quality by performing independent laboratory tests on each batch of Aloe Vera that we produce.
The following testing criteria are used in our independent laboratory tests to ensure the quality and efficacy of Pharm-Aloe Whole Leaf Aloe Vera products.
Total Solids Solids are the active ingredients of the Aloe Vera plant. These include polysaccharides, amino acids, vitamins, growth factors, etc. A high quality batch will have a total solids content between 1-3%.
The Total Solids test subjects the Aloe Vera to heat evaporating the water and leaving only the solids (active ingredients) behind to be measured.
Methanol Precipitable Solids (MPS) The MPS contains 30-40% mucopolysaccharides, which are vital to maintaining good health. The higher the MPS (Methanol Precipitable Solids) number (mgs/l) the more potent the Aloe Vera product.
During the MPS test, methyl alcohol is added to a batch of Aloe Vera, forming a white precipitate (solids) which separates from the liquid. The precipitate is then dried, weighed and identified in mg/l (milligrams per liter).
Test results are available upon request.
