Eczema is a red, itchy, noncontagious inflammation of the skin. Eczema may be acute or chronic, with red skin patches, pimples, crusts, or scabs occurring either alone or in combination. The skin may be dry, or it may discharge a watery fluid, resulting in an itching or burning sensation. The affected skin may then become infected.
The various causes of eczema are classified as either external (irritations, allergic reactions, exposure to certain microorganisms, or chemicals) or constitutional (inherited predisposition). |

Why
does Pharm-Aloe®
Whole Leaf Aloe Vera work? Aloe Vera is known for its healing and soothing effect on the skin. Aloe Vera contains lignins which help it penetrate deeply into the skin to deliver its therapeutic effects. Aloe Vera contains gibberlin and polysaccharides, which effectively decrease inflammation and promote wound healing. Aloe Vera is an effective pain reliever because it contains salicylic acid, the same pain killing agent found in aspirin. It also contains magnesium which helps prevent some of the damaging side effects of aspirin-type medications. Polysaccharides make it a natural moisturizer, relieving the dryness often associated with itching. |

"For more than two years I suffered from a serious case of eczema. My arms were raw constantly and often the open cuts caused by the scratching became infected. Dermatologist, internist and allergist were all unable to find a solution. Several prescribed drugs taken internally and topically failed to improve the condition and made me feel sick. I began applying Pharm-Aloe® Gelly three times per day and drinking an ounce of Aloe Vera juice. In two days the intense scratching had almost stopped and the skin was already showing signs of improvement. After one week the infections had cleared up and all but a small patch of eczema on the inside elbows remained. Pharm-Aloe® Aloe Vera has drastically improved my condition--and with no side effects! I feel better than ever."
