Arthritis

Arthritis may be caused by inflammation or infection in a joint, by degeneration of a joint as a person becomes older, or by a disorder of which arthritis is a symptom. More than 31 million people of all ages suffer from various degrees of the disease in the United States. The three most common forms of arthritis are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and gout.

There are other conditions that can cause symptoms that are similar to arthritis. One of the most common treatments for arthritis is hydrocortisone, however it does not cure arthritis and the treatment itself can cause harm.

Inflammation of various body parts, including wounds, can be very painful. In arthritis, joint inflammation can be downright crippling. Aloe Vera contains gibberlin and polysaccharides, which effectively decrease inflammation and promote healing. Aloe Vera is an effective pain reliever because it contains salicylic acid, the same pain killing agent found in aspirin. It also contains magnesium which helps prevent the damaging side effects of aspirin-type medications.

"Arthritis in my hands and wrists used to wake me up at night, with either hot burning pain all over the top of my hands, or piercing and burning pain in the wrists. Many brands of Aloe Vera Capsules contain or state that they are equivalent to 5,000 mg's of Aloe Vera. 5,000 mg's of Aloe Vera is 1/6th of one fluid ounce of either Whole Leaf or NON-Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice. Many brands of Aloe Vera capsules contain 25 mg's of active ingredients per capsule.
